Power

Cooling

Our data centres in Frankfurt utilise a robust heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system which delivers stable air flow, temperature and humidity for efficiency equipment operation.

Highly efficient turbo chillers.

All major equipment in the HVAC systems has a minimum of N+1 redundancy.

Our newest data centre combines full free cooling, mechanically assisted free cooling and mechanical cooling, depending on ambient temperature and humidity.

Close Control Units (CCUs) provide conditioned air to the data floors at a minimum N+2 redundancy.

Robust heating, ventilation and air conditioning

Fire detection and suppression

Monitored continuously from the Network Operations Centres, our fire detection and suppression systems minimise risk and suppress fires quickly to prevent problems from spreading.

High sensitivity smoke detection systems (VESDA).

VESDA immediately detects airborne heat and smoke particles, notifying our on-site facility staff before a fire has an opportunity to start.

Fully addressable two-stage fire detection system that monitors the underfloor, room and ceiling void space (smoke and heat).

Securing your business-critical data and systems is our priority. That’s why we adopt a multi-layered approach to security and access, operating from the outer perimeter inwards to the building. We can also tailor this security to your exact needs.

Over 100 integrated digital video cameras provide surveillance throughout the exterior and interior.

We have experienced, responsive, technical staff on our premises 24x7x365 who provide a helping hand and competent technical support and maintenance when needed. We are your hands and eyes locally.

The support centre provides several types of support, from basic inventory management to full deployment, installation and technical management of equipment.

Customers can request support by phone or through the customer portal.

Our data centres are enabling environments in which the separate networks that make up the internet meet and where bandwidth intensive applications, content and information are hosted. Being able to connect to other customers quickly within the data centres as well as to the large number of connectivity providers makes our Frankfurt sites a rapidly expanding ecosystem of partners and providers.

Direct connectivity to a wide range of networks

As a carrier-neutral data centre we give you direct access to a wide choice of network providers for greater choice, flexibility, network resilience, cost savings and speed to market. Issues such as latency and uptime performance can be solved by choosing the right network provider for your business from within our Frankfurt sites.

Global peering and connectivity

TelecityGroup Germany provides connectivity to a large amount of carriers onsite – including the presence of the world’s most busy internet exchange DE-CIX (German Commercial Internet Exchange).

Pan-European connectivity across our data centre network

We deliver seamless connections to every TelecityGroup data centre. A European IP network supports Ethernet over MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) services connects our Frankfurt data centres and extends throughout our European sites.

Managed connectivity with multiple carriers

You can connect directly to our IP Multihome service. This allows you to distribute content through multiple Tier 1 carriers and internet exchange points, free from the complexity of maintaining multiple contractual and peering relationships.
