Internet Exchanges

In addition to our own resilient managed connectivity services we also host major national and international networks offering an extensive choice of networks to which organisations can connect.

For critical peering, transit and traffic exchange requirements, customers can directly interconnect with hundreds of Tier 1 and Tier 2 global and national network providers and ISPs located at TelecityGroup facilities.

Public and private peering

Six TelecityGroup data centres host the main national internet exchange points (IXPs); Amsterdam – AMS-IX, London – LINX, Frankfurt – DE-CIX and also Paris – FreeIX, Dublin – INEX and Manchester – MaNAP, allowing competing networks to interconnect and exchange internet traffic at national and international level with speed and efficiency. In Paris TelecityGroup also hosts the French National Internet Exchange IPv6 - FNIXv6.

Peering helps to reduce upstream costs for ISPs, and a single connection to an IXP may reduce the need for multiple connections. Organisations like AMS-IX, LINX, DE-CIX, FreeIX, INEX, MaNAP and FNIXv6 trust us with their mission-critical internet infrastructure.

Access to all

Once you are a customer in any TelecityGroup data centre in Europe you can connect directly to any of these internet exchanges directly through the Datacentre Connect or Ethernet services.
