Computer Sciences Corporation signs as first customer in new TelecityGroup Amsterdam facility

Amsterdam, 10 March 2008 – Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), the leading global consulting, systems integration and outsourcing services company, has chosen TelecityGroup’s new ‘Amsterdam 4’ data centre to offer professional strategic support for its outsourcing services in the Netherlands and will be the first customer to move into the data centre when it opens in April 2008.

Amsterdam 4 is a 4000 sq.m data centre which has been designed and built to offer 2kW of customer power per square metre, considerably higher than the current industry average. TelecityGroup worked in close collaboration with the Amsterdam City Council during the design and planning phase of the project to ensure the facility comfortably exceeds the environmental regulations set out for data centres in the Netherlands.

Paul van Roozendaal, CSC Netherlands Managing Director: “From the moment we started working together it has been clear that CSC and TelecityGroup are a good match in terms of expertise and ambition. It’s on this solid foundation of shared values that we have based our new relationship. We expect that both the quality of the data centre and the support provided by TelecityGroup’s engineers will help us deliver excellent IT services for our customers and strengthen our market leadership in IT outsourcing; a win-win situation for us.”

Alexandra Schless, Managing Director of TelecityGroup Netherlands, says:
“A significant investment was made in the design and planning of our new data centre. Amsterdam 4 offers a highly connected, secure and resilient hosting environment supported by some of the most sophisticated air and water cooling systems available which are designed to deliver greater efficiencies than the systems currently used in most legacy data centres. Delivering Amsterdam 4 on time and to the standard we expect demonstrates that TelecityGroup has the capability to both build and operate industry-leading data centres.

“I’m delighted that CSC is the first customer to benefit from the new facility. The two companies share the same aspirations of growth and customer service and we look forward to a long and happy relationship.”

On completion Amsterdam 4 will offer approximately 4000 sq.m and 8 MW power of customer data centre capacity. In addition to Amsterdam 4 the company is also opening a new 5,000 sq.m data centre in London in May 2008 which together brings the total number of TelecityGroup data centres in Europe to twenty.
