TelecityRedbus Positioned as 'Challenger' in new Gartner report.
London, TelecityRedbus, Europe’s foremost data centre services provider, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Challengers quadrant in the ‘Magic Quadrant for Pan-European Web Hosting, 2006’ report*. The Magic Quadrant is a graphical representation of a marketplace at and for a specific time period. It depicts Gartner's analysis of how vendors measure against criteria for that marketplace, as defined by Gartner.
The Gartner Magic Quadrant evaluates vendors according to financial health and completeness of vision. This includes delivery on service, product range and functionality, successful implementations, future-proofing and the ability to meet customer requirements.
Mike Tobin, CEO of TelecityRedbus comments: “We believe the position serves as testimonial to our continued execution of robust services and confirmation of our work to continually improve our customer service levels by introducing a more consultative approach to services, backed up by flexible service level agreements.”
TelecityRedbus has a carrier independent approach to data centre services and provides fully redundant connectivity for applications such as media streaming and e-commerce. The company’s services are particularly suited to customers with high-availability requirements or project-specific hosting needs, for example the gaming and media sectors.
The company is focused on anticipating and proactively addressing its customers’ needs and, as part of its ongoing expansion strategy, has plans to extend its facilities in Paris and Amsterdam following the expansion in London announced in May 2006. In addition to the physical and logical layers of security offered by TelecityRedbus’ core data centre services, the company offers a range of value added services both directly and through carefully selected technical partners. Supported by stringent SLAs, these services include IP and Managed Bandwidth, LAN Extension, Managed Backup, Managed Security and Network Monitoring and Maintenance.
Tobin continued: “We think this is a fantastic achievement following the merger of Telecity and Redbus towards the end of 2005 and is a milestone at this early stage of the combined business’ growth.”
