Trader Media Group uses TelecityRedbus’s managed data centre services to host mission critical infrastructure and to fulfil the need for a fully resilient and fault tolerant online business platform. Part of the additional data centre space will be used by Trader Media Group to house a new disaster recovery and business continuity solution. The Group has replicated its back office, website and business to business systems by having two data centres, one in its own offices and one at TelecityRedbus in Manchester. This allows Trader Media Group to achieve the highest levels of fault tolerance to support its business continuity plans.
Trader Media Group, one of Europe’s largest specialist media groups and online media companies publishing 70 leading titles with associated websites will also use TelecityRedbus’s hosting services to support its core international websites. Staff in regional offices throughout the UK, Ireland, Holland, Italy and South Africa, will upload their local content onto the central web platform hosted at TelecityRedbus.
TelecityRedbus customers enjoy 24/7 support from highly-skilled engineers and security in a carrier-neutral data centre environment.
“When Trader Media Group selected TelecityRedbus it demanded exceptional standards in terms of data centre services and engineering support,” commented Adriaan Oosthoek, UK Managing Director for TelecityRedbus. “By placing additional infrastructure in our hands, Trader Media Group continues to demonstrate its belief that TelecityRedbus offers an ideal environment in which to maintain IT systems operating at the optimum level. We are delighted to be supporting Trader Media Group’s online business growth and playing a fundamental role in their new business continuity and disaster recovery provisioning. It demonstrates the depth, resilience and flexibility of our offering.”
“As a leading publisher with complex processes to manage across multiple sites in the UK and Ireland, as well as internationally, we require a resilient environment to support our online businesses and mission-critical back-office systems. When it became clear that we were starting to outgrow our existing facilities within TelecityRedbus it was a logical development for us to extend our agreement. TelecityRedbus offered us an extended solution which provides the robust, fault tolerant and flexible system support we require,” said Peter Hill, Technical Operations Manager at Trader Media Group. “We know that when we call TelecityRedbus we will get the expert advice and service we need.”
