Leroy Eversley
Consultant engineer, UK & Ireland

I joined TelecityGroup in 1999 from an Internet service provider (ISP). I was attracted to the company because of the prospect of joining something new with new ideas. At TelecityGroup, I’m a computer consultant and focus on designing applications and looking after the internal network. I like the independence I am given to carry out my role and the opportunity to learn about technology and customer needs.

Always busy, always moving

I don’t really have a typical day but I’m always busy! What I did yesterday will be different to what I do today and tomorrow will be different again. That constant change and high tempo is what keeps me fully motivated after all this time in the job. Design and development work is my day-to-day focus and I get a lot of enjoyment out of solving problems by developing solutions. It’s always changing and always moving.

Self-taught with training back-up

The people and the flexibility within the organisation are what I like best about working at TelecityGroup. I’m basically self-taught, but it’s great to know that when new technology comes along and I need to learn more about it I am given the opportunity to go on training courses to ensure my knowledge and skills are always up to date.
