The TelecityGroup' Load Balancing Service is designed to solve the complex traffic routing issues generated by swings in demand, to provide your customers, employees, and partners with the information they need, when they need it.

Based on industry-leading technologies, the Load Balancing Service distributes traffic among multiple servers, sending requests to the least loaded server in a dedicated cluster. If a server experiences a problem, it is taken out of the cluster and future traffic is not directed to it until it comes back online.

The service is built with an ASIC-based hardware architecture that processes and forwards layer two through layer four traffic at wire speed to provide higher throughput for increased traffic performance. Unlike pure hardware load balancers, the solution runs unique software to handle the complexities of layer seven traffic such as rate-shaping, ssl acceleration, and compression.
