TelecityGroup recognised for innovative environmental policy at Green Business Awards TelecityGroup, Europe's industry leading provider of premium network independent data centres, today announced it has been shortlisted for the Green Service 250+ category at the 2009 Green Business Awards. 
 
 
The awards recognise organisations with a commitment to sustainability, and aim to encourage organisations to spend time and effort in combining business goals with environmental aims. The Green Service 250+ category - for organisations with over 250 employees - recognises innovation in delivering effective services that help clients to better manage and to reduce their own environmental and carbon footprints. 
TelecityGroup has been recognised for its commitment and innovative approach to improving the overall energy efficiency of its data centre services. It was the first network independent data centre to adopt the European Code of Conduct for Data Centres in 2008, a set of stringent guidelines for improving energy efficiency, which provides the framework for TelecityGroup’s energy management and reporting processes. This means customers can be confident the services they take are as energy efficient as possible.
