TelecityRedbus acquisition strategy recognised in business growth awards Company short-listed for ‘Acquirer of the Year’ in Business XL Company of the Year Awards

LONDON, 25 JUNE 2007 - TelecityRedbus, a leading European data centre and managed services company, has been short-listed in the Acquirer of the Year category at the Business XL Company of the Year awards 2007.
The Acquirer of the Year category recognises outstanding strategic acquisitions, and TelecityRedbus has been acknowledged for its integration of the two market rivals, Telecity and Redbus Interhouse, and the subsequent acquisition of managed services company, Globix Holdings (UK) Limited, during 2006.
 
The merger of Telecity and Redbus created one of the leading colocation providers in Europe. The subsequent acquisition of Globix UK, a leading provider of internet infrastructure and managed services, has enabled TelecityRedbus to offer an extended portfolio of hosting and enterprise-focused services across the company.
Mike Tobin, CEO of TelecityRedbus, says: “After completing the successful merger of Telecity and Redbus Interhouse, the acquisition of Globix was a logical next step. It has helped us develop our services expertise considerably while also expanding our footprint in London. Both the Globix team and expanded service portfolio have contributed to the business significantly since September last year. Winners in each category are to be announced at the gala dinner and award ceremony held at Gibson Hall, London on 3rd July 2007.
