TelecityGroup becomes patron of The Prince’s Trust Technology Leadership Group

Ongoing commitment to support children, youth care, education and opportunity in local community.

TelecityGroup, Europe's leading provider of premium network independent data centres, has become a patron of The Prince’s Trust Technology Leadership Group. TelecityGroup CEO Michael Tobin will become a committee member of the Group, helping to raise funds and drive awareness for activities that directly impact the lives of young, disadvantaged people in the UK.

The Prince’s Trust is the UK’s leading youth charity, providing practical and financial support for young people between the ages of 14 and 30 who are unemployed, have been in care or trouble with the law, or have struggled at school. Last year, The Trust supported more than 40,000 disadvantaged young people, with more than three in four moving into work, education or training. The Technology Leadership Group is headed by leaders of the UK’s technology community, dedicated to raising funds, support and awareness for the Prince’s Trust. Since its inception in 2002, the Group has raised over £10 million to support the charity, helping to reduce numbers of young people facing long term unemployment.

By becoming a patron of the Group, TelecityGroup is demonstrating its ongoing commitment to support community investment activities, providing education and opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people both locally and internationally. TelecityGroup employees will have the opportunity to take part in fundraising challenges and work directly with young people on voluntary programmes to support The Prince’s Trust.
