TelecityGroup hosts the world's largest online journal subscription company

Swets outsources infrastructure to provide 60,000 users with uninterrupted access to subscription management platform, Swetswise

Amsterdam / Lisse: Swets, the Worldwide market leader in the field of journal subscriptions for bulk purchasers such as universities, laboratories, authorities and large businesses, has chosen TelecityGroup to host its core data centre requirements. Swets’ IT infrastructure will be housed in two TelecityGroup data centres in Amsterdam, resulting in improved access for its 60,000 customers to the online subscription platform, Swetswise.

Founded in Amsterdam in 1901, Swets has grown from a small second-hand bookshop for scientific publications to an international digital content service provider with 60,000 customers in more than 160 countries. Customers are able to manage over 1.8 million subscriptions to 300,000 publications from 65,000 publishers through the Swetswise e-commerce platform. By outsourcing the hosting of the platform to TelecityGroup, Swets is improving its quality of service and the potential to add new services easily.
