TelecityGroup joins the Green Grid
Leading European data centre provider joins global consortium to advance data centre energy efficiency
TelecityGroup, the leading premium provider of highly connected data centres in Europe, today announced its membership with The Green Grid, a global consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centres and business computing ecosystems.
TelecityGroup is committed to improving the design, build and efficiency of data centre infrastructure to reduce operational expenditure while ensuring the optimum performance of customer equipment.
TelecityGroup has directed considerable investment into deploying innovative new data centre designs, which dramatically improve the efficiency of data centre power and cooling. These designs have created considerable savings for TelecityGroup and its customers by reducing energy consumption, helping to cut data centre carbon emissions in the process.
The Green Grid seeks to provide industry-wide recommendations on best practices, metrics and technologies that will improve overall data centre and business computing energy efficiencies. By joining The Green Grid, TelecityGroup is helping influence both developers and end users of data centre technology.
Mike Tobin, CEO of TelecityGroup, comments, “Businesses are ever more reliant on their computing infrastructure and they face a huge challenge in managing the energy costs associated with such a critical element of their organization. By working with The Green Grid, TelecityGroup will help drive best practices and standards in data centre design and technology to ensure we can deliver highly efficient data centre environments to meet the demands of increasingly business-critical computing systems.”
