TelecityGroup partners with AOL

Expanded data centre operations provide platform for European growth

LONDON and FRANKFURT – TelecityGroup today announced that it has been selected by AOL to help undertake a significant data centre expansion in Germany.

TelecityGroup’s highly-skilled engineers deliver first and second line support to AOL’s data centre operations in Germany around the clock, 365 days a year. TelecityGroup monitors the entire infrastructure – from the physical network and server hardware through to web and application services – and provides complete fault diagnosis and on-demand support.

“With plans to continue our expansion in Europe, we needed to ensure that our infrastructure had the capacity for further growth without sacrificing the user experience,” said Dana Dunne, CEO, AOL Europe. “Based on the successful relationship AOL already has with TelecityGroup, we were able to more than double the scale of our data centre footprint in Germany while at the same time maintaining an IT operation that is secure, resilient and running at optimum efficiency levels.”
