TelecityGroup shortlisted for 'Improved Data Centre Energy Efficiency' category at 2010 Data Centre Leaders' Awards

TelecityGroup, Europe's leading provider of premium network independent data centres, has been shortlisted for the ‘Improved Data Centre Energy Efficiency’ category at the Data Centre Leaders’ Awards 2010.

The awards recognise organisations that have radically upgraded existing facilities in order to meet energy efficiency requirements.

TelecityGroup has implemented a continuous improvement programme to address environmental efficiency across its data centre portfolio, enabling the company to achieve an 11.5 percent improvement in carbon efficiency between January 2007 and December 2009. These measures have led TelecityGroup to be recognised as industry leaders within the sector, achieving both the Carbon Trust Standard and ISO 14001 certification, further demonstrating its commitment to environmental best practice.
