The Brief

The website allows visitors to watch a live stream broadcast of The Jewellery Channel’s TV auctions, and bid on every item featured in real-time. The site already has over 100,000 visitors per month, and delivers between 5 – 10% of all sales for the business. “The success of our website depends on each visitor’s experience; they need to know they can watch our programmes and bid successfully and securely the first time and every time. To meet the necessary levels of infrastructure performance we looked for a provider who had the experience and skills to deliver in a relatively short timescale.

The result

The Jewellery Channel opted to outsource the hosting and management of this critical infrastructure to TelecityGroup to ensure the uptime and availability of the e-commerce functions of the new site.
